ABOUT US

Our History

Willow Grange has a fascinating history, dating back to 1979 when Richard and Rosemary Payne first opened Willow Grange, then known as Coombe Hill. We take pride in being a specialised nursing home located in Surbiton, dedicated to providing expert care specifically tailored for individuals with dementia.

ABOUT US

Our Family-Run Nursing Home

Both Richard and Rosemary took a very hands-on approach to the running of Willow Grange and were loved dearly by staff and residents alike.

Rosemary held the position of matron here for over twenty-five years and was also a qualified nurse, caring for countless numbers of patients over the years.

ABOUT US

Private Nursing Home in London

Richard, meanwhile, handled the business side of things. He was also an excellent handyman and took care of making many physical improvements to the building itself over the years.

They are both remembered fondly for their contributions to running the home.

SPECIALIST NURSING HOME

Caring staff

Remarkably, some of our team members have been with us since the very beginning, contributing to a sense of continuity that greatly benefits our organisation. Some of our residents have also been with us all that time. We like to think of our specialist nursing home as a home-away-from-home and residents are regularly encouraged to join in with our activities and much more.

Residents’ Charter

At Willow Grange, we put the needs of our senior residents first in all that we do. To ensure that we never lose sight of this, we hold ourselves to an incredibly high standard. Our Residents’ Charter is a declaration of rights that centres on our core values and encompasses fulfilment, dignity, autonomy, individuality and esteem. This ensures that the needs of each resident are consistently met, and whenever possible, surpassed, with the ultimate goal being to help them reach an optimal level of health and well-being.
